Stanford's Andrew Luck did not post Heisman numbers down the stretch

The presence of Andrew chance at Stanford, eg high, the slope incompatible or pop American television screens.

Not the same as Baylor quart Robert Griffin III did.

Stats luck at quarterback, a lot of impressive, do not jump off the page.

Griffin really.

Its ability to combine production with tangible contribution exceeded allowed Griffin to win the Heisman Trophy Fortune 2011, symbolic of college football players of the most remarkable.

Although three other talents - Alabama running back Trent Richardson, LSU corner Tyrann Mathieu and Wisconsin running back ball Climb - were also invited to the award presentation in New York Saturday, Griffin and Luck finished 1-2 in the vote.

The chance will almost certainly become the first player taken in the 2012 NFL Draft. It has all the components of a pro team could want in a quarterback, from the great leadership skills, with the arm strong and precise, with the ability to run, namely that we expect of a graduate Stanford, which will be soon.

For all the impressive features, though, Luck is a Heisman runner-up for the second consecutive year.

After finishing behind Auburn Cam Newton quarter last year, this time stalking chance Griffin with 280 points (1687-1407), followed by Richardson (978), Ball (348) and Mathieu (327).

As a Heisman voter, I fully understand the results. All of us were asked to list three players in our ballots, with the first-place votes worth three points, second place for the second and third place is one.

My voice, electronically delivered a week ago, after much research, RG3 is listed as a first choice, placing the two lucky. My third choice is USC quarterback Matt Barkley, who did not receive enough support to get the weekend all expenses paid in New York. He finished sixth.

If you believe that Griffin is a worthy winner, you know.

If you believe that luck or someone else should have won, please let me explain.

The momentum generated by the spring and summer into overdrive on the weekend of fall, when the chance to adapt and will remind everyone that he is the best player in college football. Heisman was almost stamped with the name and postponed.

Stanford In the first nine games, he is a leader in the minds of most voters, including me. Griffin in the race as well, with Richardson and Matthew. Although several other people - mostly quarts Kellen Moore (Boise State), Case Keenum (Houston) and Brandon Weeden (Oklahoma State) - appeared regularly in the various Heisman watch list, no serious competitors in my voice.

It's luck and Griffin and Matthew Richardson. Ball makes final bid for a home in the end zone.

Barkley I was impressed just by being about the same chance, despite knowing that there will be no playoff games for the Trojans, no matter how he and his team perform. It takes great determination to stay focused when the season is sacrificed, the price paid for the sins of others.

Iron fist chance on my ballot - and certainly many others - were slightly loosened in the game 8 on October 29 at USC, where he threw an interception returned for a touchdown late. Luck has led the Cardinal to earn overtime fumble sealed by the Trojan.

Two weeks later came the game 10 cardinal and most important, Oregon at Stanford in prime time, with the Pac-12 North supremacy in. The Ducks won by 23 (53-30). In addition, the opportunity has three turnovers.

As luck fell to the state of ordinary people, Griffin - already aired - it's a peak, accumulating statistics on the set of cartoons of high visibility and led Baylor (9-3) for the nine-win season in a quarter century.

Griffin brought the bears, especially in the stretch. He had nine 300-yard games. He threw for 3,998 yards, with 36 goals and six interceptions pass to the chance 35/nine 3170 /. Griffin has a higher completion percentage (72.4 to 70) and become more productive runner (644 yards and nine TDs, and 153 for both).

Griffin pass efficiency rating is 192.3 (167.5 Chance 's). If you stay above 186 RG3 through the Alamo Bowl against Washington, it will make the NCAA record.

Look, luck has a remarkable season. No, there is nothing more for his team, and with the skill position talent is not generally considered superior. But if it is not perfect non-stop, week after week, especially in the tent of the games, the award may slip away.

This is simply because Griffin was spectacular enough to reach it.

He won by being as good luck through the first two months of this season and certainly better in November, when the largest consequences.

No Heisman, but trophies don't define Trent Richardson

Trent Richardson, the New York City, Best Buy Theater on Saturday night but not on the podium.

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was.

Heisman Trophy finalist, was Richardson, but not a Heisman Trophy winner.

Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck completed for the second year running second. Richardson was the third runner-up runner-up.

Alabama junior running back in college football this season was the best, but remember, it will be the best running back ever, do not strong-arm a trophy home with them.

Story of his college career.

Richardson was shot in the world, unless played his last college football game on 9 January in the BCS Championship Game in New Orleans. It is removed with two national championship rings and a piece of jewelry or a trophy, this distinction is not one brand or.

Alabama football player was unstoppable and always unselfish?

Richardson has not just remained unnoticed. Doak Walker was the first winner of the Alabama back Thursday as the nation's best runners. The head coach named SEC offensive player of the year, and so far all the All-American team has released the first group.

If he turns pro as for the BCS Championship Game, Richardson, Tuscaloosa, so expect a lot of hardware. But imagine how much more decorated and celebrated college football players maybe he was somewhere else.

In a sense, said Richardson Signing Day 2009 the world that he played his college football at Alabama - A year after Mark Ingram, the decision of the 2011 Heisman Night events were in progress.

Richardson made her the opportunity to make his mark by Ingram, like a true rookie, he was a little brother, the relationship two years. And. And if it complained about it once was, but nobody is on the news of the outside world stock now.

Imagine all that Richardson was in Alabama. Now you can imagine what I had been his home state of the Pensacola native Emmitt Smith of the University of Florida and the same high school as a way to continue to have.

Sidekick was not anyone's day, let alone two years. I was a star for a day and not long after STARTER. 2009 SEK Championship Game in Florida, Alabama, I can not lose, and Florida the third national title in four years on the difference between a path.

I also had a history of the fourth Heisman winner Florida. Instead, it was to play at Alabama, Ingram serve as Sidekick, but it is a part of a program, rather than being an increase of the peak.

Alabama Heisman winner, the second that there are still more yards and more touchdowns than he two years ago, Ingram year - 12 instead of 13 games - it seems almost fitting. Three years ago, Richardson was better than the numbers and honors.

This year, the Heisman is a separate and a team of two players. LSU has its way, as Griffin and Luck. If not LSU, Alabama SEC Championship Game, I would play, and Richardson would daramat last Saturday for a final statement. If not LSU, I would Richardson, the country's best team player.

And when you consider that it signed by the Tigers. They said he owed a little something, and you will have the opportunity PAYBACK 9th January.

What weighs about a 25-pound bronze statue? The two crystal footballs.

Braun: 'I am completely innocent'

I received a text message from Ryan Braun. Call for a positive doping test is still ongoing, because the details in a comment on the issue, or any information about what happened and not happened.

But Brown will be the cancellation of the positive drug test that was very hard. He wanted to hold a press conference today that the events to their own version, but not recommended as this process continues.

"I can not wait to get this opportunity," Brown said.

"I am absolutely innocent of all BS."

All Brown understands that there are currently almost. But I appreciate him reaching out to me what he could.

My 2011 Heisman Trophy ballot

Robert Griffin, 2011 Heisman Trophy winner for one reason and one reason only:

He is the greatest college football players.

Best stats? Maybe. The most valuable? Maybe.

It is nice to have a player with a 3.9-look team Heisman given. The award was "the best player on best team" in honor in recent years. I think that's fine, but I do not think it's necessary.

I voted for Tim Tebow in 2007, when Tebow had 23 rushing touchdown and 32 touchdown by the way, and the Gators were 9-3. Sometimes, the player has done regardless of the team, it's just too strange not to vote.

That's why I'm chosen for Griffin.

Electrical work, raises money dynamics in bombs, short flash club, dramatic escapes the pocket, in the late-game heroics and phase - RG3 had them all. He even has an NCAA record for passer efficiency rating of 192.31 with astronomical. How well does it work? The old single season record Colt Brennan was 186.0. Sam Bradford, NCAA career-record 175.6. Griffin threw touchdown and six 36 complaints, completed 72 percent of his passes and ran for nine TD.

I also like the fact that he was still a student graduated early and is himself, his family, his school and his community with class and dignity in all situations. This is no coordination policies, but it's part of what the Heisman is for me. He is the best deal in the big 12, do not shoot because he was out of the mouth and stand around and offer powerful chest (it skips the interview, when things gets tough), but because he is intelligent and thoughtful, and gives an insight into the aspects of himself and his game and his team, that you never knew existed. Thank you for Robert.

My second place vote is almost as easy. Lots of great candidates this year. I mean, a lot. I could have contained any of the nine guys on my ballot, and I feel good about one of them. But I chose Wisconsin running back Montee Ball, for one simple reason: all the touchdowns.

Barry Sanders' record of 39 TDs will never be touched, we spoke with in 1988. Now, touch the ball. He has 38 this season, and it's more than I ever thought that we would see again. He has always come with a bowl game and, of course, killing at least once, but in truth, if the NCAA would Ogu and five TDs in Sanders' Holiday Bowl, he would pull 44 may be considered, and we would not with this the debate.

Anyway, the ball is not only a big, fat plug goal line. The guy is the fourth largest in the country in a hurry, 135.3 yards per game. Average of 6.4 yards per carry it. How well does it work? Trent Richardson, Alabama averaged 6.0. Adrian Peterson, for crying out loud, only an average of 5.7 in the best years in the subdivision. Ball ran for 1759 yards and caught 20 passes for 255 yards and six TDS. He even threw a pass TD. Guys, this is performance, and if he does not catch rejoice Keith Nicole Mary and other next week in Ohio, the ball might be your winner, and is likely to play in the national championship.

The third place on my ballot was the hardest. I would say Stanford defender Andrew Luck, however, statistically, suggested he a serious plot towards the back half of the season. I would say that LSU defensive back Mathieu tyrant, but, statistically speaking, he disappeared (literally, thanks to one game suspension) for almost a month. I mean, running back Trent Richardson to Alabama, but in my opinion, I joined a few other running backs in the crime, Alabama, and I saw them do the same. (Do not get me wrong, Richardson, a unique animal-type runner in the field, but 1583 yards and 20 TDs Heisman has no fear of these).

I would say Houston Defender Case Keenum and Boise State defender Kelly Moore as a statistical miracle, and executives and the winners. But Keenum fell in the championship game defeat of Houston and Moore did not take his chance of winning the Boise State loss. Moreover, given the strength of their schedule this season, they have little room for error.

I have also called Oregon running back LaMichael James and defender Russell Wilson, Wisconsin.

But with a little more than an hour to vote, I felt best about Oklahoma State defender Brandon Weeden.

Weeden has all the elements (over .726 completion percentage, 34 touchdown 4328 feet, while his 12 complaints - six at the start of the season, five to the end -. Interfered) was statistically Weeden a week to week with a show of strength, with a shaky game against Texas and three landings, 476-meter, three-interception "flop" against Iowa.

Going in that loss to Cyclones Friday night, I decided Weeden was my favorite. Then all said that it was over. I wavered back and forth.

I finally Weeden included in my ballot, because it was unfair to punish the ball to the player Weeden is not a game-winning field goal. And while the loss dropped him from my seat one, I kept it to a vote, especially through his weekly series, and that it is easy again with a solid passing game (wind tunnel), which destroys and demoralizes helped by Bedlam rival Oklahoma. He backed the first quarter direct Ogu conference champion in 63 years, won 22 games in two seasons and a record legion of demons, to drive on this road.

Luck, Griffin, Richardson lead Heisman finalists

The preseason favorite to win the Heisman trophy is likely to conflict with the beloved.

Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck is facing tough competition from four other finalists announced Monday: Robert griffin III, Trent Richardson, Tyrann Mathieu and Montee Ball.

Heisman was a Saturday night.

Luck, who decided to return to his junior year was a Finalist for the second straight season, while the other QB on the list, griffin, was the first, Baylor player gets an invitation to the Heisman dinner in New York.

Luck finished as runner-up Cam Newton Brown last year and have another stellar season, passing for 3170 yards and 35 touchdowns leading the Cardinal to a 11-1 record and second straight BCS Bid

However, other participants may exceed the eyes of voters.

Obviously griffin leading this race last month season.

Griffin, which is called the RG3 by Baylor fans lead the nation in passer rating (192.3), as well as 3998 yards and 36 touchdowns. He also ran for 644 yards and nine TDs. Baylor is 9-3 this season, the first nine-win season since 1986.

Baylor is the best player ever to finish fourth in the Heisman voting in Don prostitute quarterback 1963.

Richardson ran second to Alabama in the finals the last three years, the former teammate of Mark Ingram won the Heisman 2009.

Ball, a candidate for Wisconsin, scored 38 touchdowns this season, and should correspond to another NCAA record set by Barry Sanders of Oklahoma State. Ball can break the record in the Rose bowl.

Mathieu, a defensive back, has made several game changing plays for the top-ranked LSU.
