Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar has been brought to the stand to deny the beat and choked 15-year-daughter, said the congregation made the allegations in police reports are nothing but "excessive and sensationalism."
"I would say this unequivocally: I should never have been arrested," Dollar said Sunday in his first public appearance two days after police charged him with charges of violation of simple battery and cruelty to children.
Pastor received enthusiastic applause from the packed church when he took the podium at World Changers Church International in College Park Atlanta suburb. He discusses criminal charges head-on for several minutes before moving to his sermon.
"I want you all to hear personally from me that all is well in the household dollar," said Dollar.
