Where should Donovan McNabb spend the rest of the season?

Donovan McNabb is no longer a member of the Minnesota Vikings. If you have problems with maintenance, it is no longer a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.

For someone who has the first 11 years of his career in the NFL spent in Philadelphia - Eagles by four NFC championships and a kind of Super Bowl - McNabb has very recently a journeyman. It was during the off-season for the Redskins in 2010, which traded him dismissed after only one season.

He was taken from Minnesota, where he lasted just six games as a quarterback (1-5'll only four touchdowns and five passes for 25 yards) and 11 games overall. McNabb Vikings released on Thursday described a decision coach Leslie Frazier as mutual.

So, now what about McNabb? Chicago Bears and Houston Texans are two teams, to jump to mind as possible destinations. Both are playoff contenders with questions quarterback position. Bears may very well be without injured starter Jay Cutler for the rest of the year and backup Caleb Hanie fight in his first start last week.

Texans lost their first two quarterbacks - to avoid injury - Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart. But the Houston Chronicle reported that the team is not immediately interested in McNabb, coach Gary Kubiak with the obvious desire to TJ Yates as his starter stick.

Dallas Cowboys, another candidate for the playoffs, could also use the services of someone like McNabb. While they are with Tony Romo as the starter, backup Jon Kitna had back problems in recent weeks and the season.

Bears and Cowboys are in the claims denial of quarterback Kyle Orton, the cut last week by the Denver Broncos have been laid, and eventually went to Kansas City Chiefs. If both teams make a run at McNabb to remove the wire that Dallas will have priority over Chicago, based on absorption and strength of schedule.

Where do you think McNabb should spend the rest of the 2011 season? With one of the teams mentioned above, or someone who you think could use its services? Or do you think it's time for a veteran quarterback to call it quit? Finally, things have not worked so well with his last two teams.
