Obama says not surprised by would-be Yemen bomber

Obama told ABC News in an interview Taped on Wednesday that he was briefed on the would-be suicide mission in April, adding that officials stay on top of the situation and the lives and aircraft were never in danger.

"I do not think there should be any surprise that I've been very clear that -. Even with the death of Osama) bin Laden, even as weak as Al Qaeda is - if you have a bunch of extremists who are adamant of trying to kill civilians, but we're going to have to maintain constant vigilance and create a whole series of laws on the protection and barriers, "he said in an interview.
